AGARTALA, MAY 28: Reacting to All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU) demand of cancelling the Chakma candidates names from NEE results, TCSA today issued an sterm warning terming the move by AAPSU as undemocratic and against underlying principles.
Addressing a press conference, TCSA General Secretary, Sadhan Chakma said AAPSU’s move is totally undemocratic . He further stated that AAPSU has created such situation in the past against the Chakma students and job aspirants.
"If TCSA or other students are to allow AAPSU’s policy , no Arunachalee can study in Tripura University, Holy Cross College, TIT, NIT, Maharaja Bir Bikram University, Ram Thakur College or any other educational institute", said TCSA General Secreatry.
Few days ago, the All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union opposed the recent North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) entrance results and demanded immediate cancellation of the selection of Chakmas and Hajongs for admission in the NERIST.
The AAPSU Claimed that a number of Chakmas and Hajongs have qualified for the NEE-2018 under Mizoram seats, the AAPSU apprised its director regarding the recent result of the NEE-2018 and said that they (Chakma and Hajong) must be replaced with eligible tribal applicants from the Mizo community.
