ITANAGAR, JAN 30: The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) and the First Lady of the State Smt Neelam Misra visited Ramakrishna Sarada Mission, Khonsa Tirap district on 30th January 2018. The Governor and the First Lady of the State, who earlier in the visited Ramakrishna Mission School, Narottam Nagar at Deomali visited the first girls’ boarding school of the State and interacted with the Mata jis and students. They also visited the hostels, dining hall, bakery and other facilities of the school.
In his address to the students, the Governor said that he can see Laxmi (prosperity), Sarswati (Knowledge) and Durga (Power) in them. He expressed his confidence that they will do well in life with dedication, commitment and discipline.
While stating that the Defence Minister of India Smt Nirmala Sitharaman is a lady, the Governor advised they must emulate her.
The Governor said that a develop society is the one, where the man and woman share equal responsibility and equally contribute. If a woman is given her due importance, the society will move forward and prosper. Sky is the limit and only you can take the country forward and towards peace and prosperity, Governor said.
The Governor, who commended the Ramakrishna Mission Order for its service in the field of education in the State in his Republic Day speech, reiterated his appreciation for the Mata jis and Didis of the Ramakrishna Mission Order.
The Governor and the First Lady of the State later met and felicitated Miss Roankhin Dada, Class VI, daughter of Ashok Chakra recipient Havildar Hangpan Dada on the occasion. They also advised her to be strong and confident and consoled her as she broke down in tears during the meeting.
A colourful programme based on patriotism and traditional cultural heritage of Tirap District was presented on the occasion. Talk on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was also delivered by one of the students. Numbers of alumni of the school were also present on the occasion.
Secretary to Governor Shri Vinod P. Kavle, Tirap Deputy Commissioner Shri P.N. Thungon and SP Shri Jeetender Kumar Meena were present on the occasion amongst others.
The Governor and the First Lady of the State also visited District Hospital, Khonsa in the Day. They distributed fruits to the indoor patients and visited different wards, facilities and the blood bank.
Interacting with the medical officers and officers of district administration, the Governor pointed that hospitals in the State require infrastructure, equipments, doctors and staff particularly critical specialists.
Sharing his observations in Bomdila, Monigang and other places where he visited, the Governor said that issues are being taken up at various levels. Proposal on seeking assistance from volunteers at national level, who can render service for limited period, will be explored, he added.
