BJP activist Jitani Chakma murdered in Tripura


AGARTALA, FEB 24: A week after to the General Election of Tripura, a BJP activist Jitani Chakma was ambushed by a local CPI(M) activist in Pechartal on Friday.


The murderer identified as Jyoti Basu who is a member of Village council from CPI (M) party, later the accused arrested by police.


The attacker attack her with slingshots from a close range, shoved sharp wooden prop to ensure the Kill.


In Agartala, the BJP leadership termed the murder politically motivated and held the ruling CPI(M) responsible for the latest fatal attack on a party worker.


At least Nine BJP workers including a Chakma have been killed and over 50 critically wounded in planned CPI(M) attacks so far this year.
