APCC Observes 70th Martyrdom Day of Gandhiji

 

ITANAGAR, JAN 30: The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee has observed the 70th Martyrdom Day of the Father of the Nation – Mahatma Gandhi on monday at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Itanagar. Rich floral tribute was paid to the portrait of Gandhiji as a mark of respect to the great soul.

The members present on the occasion remembered Bapuji as the apostle of peace, who stood for non­-violence and made supreme sacrifice in achieving the freedom of our country. The members pledged to reaffirm and recommit to follow the paths of non-violence shown by Gandhiji and uphold & defend the idea of India as envisioned by the leaders of the freedom movement to fight and defeat the forces which seek to destroy the peace and tranquility of the country.

The programme was attended by Shri Minkir Lollen, Vice-President APCC, Shri Bida Taku, Ex-Minister, Shri Tachu Hina & Shri Chera Taya, General Secretaries APCC, Shri Geli Ete, President APYC, Shri Teli Mello Camdir, President State NSUI along with other rank & files of the Congress party.
