ITANAGAR, APRIL 25: The All Arunachal Pradesh Students' Union (AAPSU) welcomed the 5th meeting of Joint High Powered Committee meeting on 27th April 2018 at Banquet Hall, Itanagar to discuss issues relating to Chakma and Hajong of Arunachal Pradesh. The meeting shall be held under the Chairmanship of Joint Secretary (North East) MHA. The meeting has been attended by AAPSU executives members and legal advisors, Chakma and Hajong representatives from CCRCHAP and Anil Malik, Joint Secretary (Foreingeers), MHA, MDCNS, New Delhi and representation from the Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
Nepha Wangsa, AAPSU Dy. Spokesperson stated that the fourth meeting of Joint High Powered Committee meeting was held at North Block, New Delhi on 04th January 2018 and Joint Secretary (NE) MHA government of India had assured to hold the meeting in the month of February. However, such meeting was not held as assured. in the said date stated.
The AAPSU hope for the participation of all stakeholders, Deputy Commissioners and Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF) from Department of Forest to give vivid accounts on the issue from the affected areas.
